Yesterday our club received an email from the Secretary of Bishopstown GAA club in Cork (see below) requesting our support for a fellow GAA member, volunteer and coach Mick Cronin who had a terrible accident late last year and as a result has suffered life changing injuries.
On a personal level this appeal means that bit more to me as Mick is friend of mine from way back in our days at University of Limerick. We at Bishopstown GAA in Cork are reaching out to all our fellow GAA clubs for a fundraiser we are organising for a club member, Mick Cronin, who suffered life changing injuries in an accident last November. Mick, like us all, is a lover of all things GAA and an excellent club member and volunteer. As a club we are holding 2 days of matches on March 17th and 18th with our underage and adult teams in hurling, football, LGFA and camogie playing local teams. We are selling "tickets" to these matches (which is the way to donate to this fund) and can be done via the link below.
