Clane travelled to Two Mile House this evening and produced a good performance that culminated in an 8 point victory.

Clane started brightly with the aid of a stiff breeze. Danny Egan scored an early brace of frees. These came either side of a James Behan goal that was scored following some excellent build up play by Shane O’Sullivan and Kyle Devey. Danny Egan got a goal of his own just before the first water break following a long ball in from Enda O’Connell.

Clane led by 2-8 to 0-7 at half time but had to withstand early second half pressure from Two Mile House. Chris Byrne’s incisive run resulted in him being hauled down for a penalty that was converted by Danny Egan. This goal gave us a cushion to defend in the final quarter. Late points from Ethan O’Donoghue and Danny Egan helped us over the line in the end.
