Dublin GAA star and All Ireland winner, Ciaran Kilkenny, from Beo Le Yoga, Visited our Clane GAA | Home on Friday night last.
36 players from minor panels participated in the Beo Le Yoga program. Our players were fully engaged with lots of questions and interaction.
Bel Le Yoga is a community organisation looking to create a safe & comfortable space for people to find their flow by following their own personal journey whilst increasing their flexibility mobility & strength through yoga & also being more mindful in their lives & workplace through meditation & breath work.
Module 1 is based around two key areas and Ciaran spoke about-
· How to be ‘In the Flow’ e.g., football match, doing homework. The flow is where you’re subconsciously engaged and engrossed to the task in hand. Using mechanisms to remain in the zone like breathing (e.g., inhale / exhale moments) and visualising (e.g., look to four corner flags) to help you maintain the flow.
· Surround yourself with the best team - To excel in sport, academic or career, seek help to succeed and utilize the resources available to you. Engage with coaches in S&C, nutrition, athletic, skills, to improve where you need to. Learn from your teammates that excel in defending, attacking, fitness through engagement with them.
