What's New

After all the excitement of the Mini All-Ireland last weekend it will be somewhat quieter but no less busy at Clane GAA this weekend. Last weekend we had over 300 children from the community of Clane participate in the inaugural Clane GAA Mini All-Ireland as players, coaches and referees. The highlight of the weekend was seeing all the kids marching behind the band on the main pitch before proudly singing our National Anthem. You will find lots of photos and videos from the weekend on our many social media channels, search #ClaneGaaMAI. There are also some short videos which capture the atmosphere and spirit of the occasion on our new Official Clane GAA YouTube channel. Please subscribe if you haven't already done so.

Best wishes also to Cian Burke who plays in goals for Kildare Minor Footballers in this evenings Leinster Minor Football Championship Semi-Final Vs Laois in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise - Throw in at 8pm. #CillDaraAbú

Congratulations to Mark Doyle who has been named captain of the Kildare Under 20 Hurling team for 2019. Best of luck to Mark and his team mates in their upcoming All-Ireland campaign!

What's Next

Another great weekend of GAA action is live in HD on the Big Screen at Clane GAA. Saturday @ 7pm sees Cork take on Kerry in the Munster Final and on Sunday @ 2pm Cavan face Donegal in Ulster while Dublin take on Meath in the Leinster decider.

Our senior footballers are away to St. Kevins on Wednesday next, June 26th with an 8pm throw in. You can find all fixtures on the home page of our website at www.clanegaa.ie and on our mobile app ClubZap. Note to all team managers and mentors - please ensure you post your fixtures via ClubZap so that our members are kept informed and updated on upcoming fixtures. When you post a fixture to ClubZap it automatically gets pushed to our members if they use the ClubZap app and it also appears on our web site at clanegaa.ie. A new version of the chat function on ClubZap is due to be released soon and we are currently testing with a few users.

The Clane GAA Lotto Jackpot wasn't won this week. Next weeks jackpot is €7,500. The 4 x €25 winners last week were John Cosgrove, Pat Campbell, M & M Casey and Stephen Mylod. You can buy tickets at the clubhouse or outside Condron's SuperValu on Sunday. #ClaneGaaLotto

The Clane GAA annual Golf Classic takes place on Friday next, June 28th at Millicent Golf Club. There are still a very limited amount of tee time slots left and some opportunities to sponsor a tee box or a hole. Please contact Paul 'Gazza' Dunne on 087-6744766 ASAP. The prize giving will take place at the Clane GAA clubhouse from 9.30pm on Friday evening with live music from Declan Walsh, finger food and a big raffle with the chance to win tickets to The Playing Fields. #ClaneGaaGolfClassic

The Clane GAA Summer Camps will kick off very soon and will run from July 1st to 25th; the camps will run each Monday thru Thursday from 10am to 1.30pm and are open to boys and girls aged 5-13 years. Each participant will receive a Free T-Shirt and registration is at 9.30am on each Monday morning. We will also be hosting the Official GAA Cúl Camps for both football (Jul 29th - Aug 2nd) and Hurling/Camogie (Aug 5th-9th). Registration is now open at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie. #ClaneGaaSummerCamps #ClaneGaaCulCamps

Our annual Clane GAA Community Wellness 5K Walk/Run and 10K Road Race will take place on July 7th and registration is now open on popupraces.ie. #ClaneGaa10k

Great progress has been made on The Playing Fields music festival and we are at advanced stages in our organisation and planning. A huge amount of work has been put into this event and all of this work is to ensure we have the required funding in place to support the development of our club for you our members and your familes. On the back of significant marketing and PR in recent weeks it has been very pleasing to see steady and consistent growth in our ticket sales including our corporate packages. As a result the early bird discounted ticket rate will close on June 30th. Book now to take advantage of the best prices - Buy Here. If your require further information on a corporate or VIP package please contact Fintan Doran or eMail info@theplayingfields.ie.

You can find more details on all of these events and lots more news including fixtures & results by visiting the new Clane GAA website at www.clanegaa.ie where you can also download our mobile app - ClubZap.
