Molly Delaney – RIP

It is with great sadness and regret that Clane GAA Club announce the passing of Molly Delaney (nee, Lavin). Molly was a larger than life character who represented the Club playing Camogie and had an infectious personality off the pitch and a steely determination on it.

Molly was a Camogie player of substance who won Kildare Senior Camogie Championship and League medals in 1953 and another Kildare Senior Camogie League medal in 1962. Molly also played and captained the Senior Kildare Camogie team with distinction and was named on the Kildare Millennium Senior Camogie team at Midfield.

A fun loving Lady, Molly enjoyed her weekly bingo sessions and enjoyed any craic and banter that was to be had. Molly will be deeply missed by her family, friends and community.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
